HOTELS

We've included two hotel suggestions below, and plan to arrange wedding transportation to/from Hotel Beatriz. There are many more affordable options throughout Toledo (including airbnbs and cabins), and we're happy to help you look for lodging or coordinate transportation.

Hotel Eurostars Palacio Buenavista

Picture of Hotel Eurostars Palacio Buenavista
C. de los Concilios, 1, 45005 Toledo, Spain
Use Code: ENLACECYT
Our code gets you 15% off, but it’s often even cheaper to look at third party websites (like booking.com). This is where we are staying, but it’s also the more expensive of the two hotels that we’ve recommended here.

Hotel Beatriz Toledo Auditorium

C. de los Concilios, s/n, 45005 Toledo, Spain

This location is right next door to Eurostars, so an easy walk between the two hotels. We've heard this location is sold-out for the relevant time-frame, but it might be worth checking in case there are any openings between now and May 25!

Make sure you check third-party websites (like booking.com) to find the cheapest rate, but you can also get 10% off if you book directly with the hotel and mention that you're attending a wedding at "el Cigarral del Ángel."

Hotel Cigarral el Bosque

Here is another option, which is very near the location of our reception (Cigarral del Ángel).

FROM AIRPORT TO TOLEDO

Madrid Airport to Toledo by Metro + Bus

Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct bus connection from Madrid Airport to Toledo. Therefore, in order to take the Alsa bus, heading to Toledo with a 30-minute frequency from 06:30 am to midnight, you’ll have to reach the Plaza Eliptica Station. The fastest way to get to that station is ordering an uber or grabbing a taxi into Madrid!

If you prefer to take public transport to the bus station — you can take the Airport Metro Line 8, leaving from Aeropuerto 4 (level -1 of T4) and the first level of T2, and detrain at Nuevos Ministerios final stop. From there, you’ll have to take Metro Line 6 to Plaza Eliptica Station. The Metro Line 8 runs daily, from 06:05 am to 01:33 am, with routes every 6-8 minutes. However, from 00:00 am to 01:33 am, the metro frequency reduces to every 15 minutes.

Overall, the ride by metro to the Plaza Eliptica Station and by direct bus to Toledo lasts about 104 minutes, without counting the waiting time. The total cost for this trip is approximately 9.20€/9.20$. This fare includes one single metro ticket, the 3€/3$ airport supplement fee, an extra cost for the extra stops*, and the cost of the Alsa ticket to Toledo. Tickets are available through the automatic machines of the metro and bus stations. Alsa tickets can also be bought online. What’s more, to buy the metro tickets, you’ll first have to purchase a Multi-Card (2.50€/2.50$) and load your tickets in it.

*The single metro ticket is valid for up to 5 station transfers. From that point, each stop is charged 0.10€/0.10$.

Madrid Airport to Toledo by Train

The RENFE Airport Train Lines C1 and C10 don’t offer direct transfers to Toledo either. Hence, if you want to travel from Madrid Airport to Toledo by train, it’s easiest to first take an uber or taxi from the airport to the Atocha Station, where you can catch an AVANT train to Toledo!

If you prefer to take public transportation from the airport to the train station, you’ll have to take the commuter airport trains from Aeropuerto 4 (the airport train station located at the underground level of T4) to Atocha Station. From there, AVANT trains constantly head to Toledo. However, if T4 isn’t your arrival terminal, the airport shuttle bus is a one-way street to reach the T4 rail station.

Train C1 runs from 06:02 am to 00:01 am, and C10 from 05:46 am to 10:47 pm, with a non-coincided 30-minutes frequency. Thus, a train runs from Aeropuerto 4 every 15 minutes.

On the other hand, the AVANT trains leave Atocha Station with Toledo as their destination every 1-2 hours, from 06:55 am to 08:50 pm on weekdays and from 08:50 am to 08:50 pm on weekends.

The total journey from Barajas Airport to Toledo via train (entirely on public transportation) lasts 90 minutes, including an average waiting time. It will cost about $17.
